Dylan's 7th birthday is on August 13th, so I took him down on OSU campus to take some pictures. "D", as we call him, is very excited for his "Indiana Jones" birthday party in a couple of weeks. He was just as excited to come down on campus with me. He loves the one on one time, and unfortunately with our busy schedules it is not something that he gets on a regular basis. I must remember to carve out more "individual" time for him...he just a totally different person when it is just the two of us! We had fun tucking into back alley's looking for cool graffiti down on campus....then once we were done, we stopped for ice-cream! Dylan is such a funnly little guy, 7...going on 17. There are times I think that he acts so "old", and other times when I can still catch a glimpse of the little boy I that I adore. He still LOVES his stuffed penguin, and sleeps with all of his stuffed animals. But, now he prefers to watch "Drake and Josh" over cartoons. He still wants to put suitcases on airplanes when he is older. He has wanted to do this since he was 3 years old. He just loves airports....he can't wait until he is 16 so he can go work at the airport! He still wants to go down the suitcase aisle at Target...just to check out the new stuff. I used to take him there as a treat...he would get all the suitcases out and just go up and down the aisle...LOL! But, alas, my "baby" is growning up...he starts second grade in just a few short weeks. He is excited to see all of his friends, plus, he just found out that his friend Joseph's dad is going to be his soccer coach...major score. My sweet little man, please do not grow up to fast....I love you a bushel and a peck!!
Dylan thought it was so funny that I wanted to take his picture next to the porta-potty...it just cracked him up...I thought the green background was so cool!

I just looked at my last post, and can't believe I have been such a slacker in posting my blogs! I also can't believe how quickly the summer is going, and the fact that my little sweetie is starting Kindergarten in 3 short weeks....I have to admit I am not handling this so well! Tatum has such a funny sense of humor, and just loves to put a smile on anyone's face. Which isn't so hard when she comes up with her one liners! The other evening Tatum was telling knock knock jokes to my Dad (Grandpa Tom)...just cracking us all up....my Dad says to her "Tatum, you are quite a comedian", and she replies "well, your HOT SAUCE" (which sounds like Hot THATHce with her lisp), I thought my Dad was going to fall over laughing! Tatum loves to draw pictures of girls in dresses and fairies and they always carry purses and usually are wearing roller skates. She loves to listen to music, and gets upset if I don't turn on Hairspray or High School Musical on the way to daycare....which is literally a 2 minute drive from our house. I love her silly disposition, and the way she "mother's" her baby sister. She is just such a sweet sister, always making sure her "Reesey" is well taken care of! I know she will enjoy Kindergarten, and in my heart I know she is ready for this next phase. However, that does not keep me from getting a lump in my throat when I think of her entering this next phase of her sweet little life. I love you so much Tatum, thank you for making everyday special with your adorable outlook on life....and your sweet hugs and kisses. Here are some pictures from her "Fancy Nancy" Birthday party a couple of weeks ago!!
